2017 – Day 1 of 30 Days of Gratitude

Today begins my 30 Days of Gratitude.

Day #1: I’m grateful for my good health. After fighting for my health for almost 2 years, I feel good once again and I’m grateful for every day that my body is healthy and functioning.

As we move into the season of Thanksgiving for 2017, I’d like to recommit to living my life on positive terms and striving towards positive thoughts and ideals.

 

Common sense and research show that practicing gratitude is a path to greater well-being. People who appreciate the positive in life (Wood, 2009). Grateful people who notice the everyday good things all around them are generally happier all around.

Research has measured social happiness, coping skills, sleep quality, appreciation for life, and general well-being and found that practicing gratitude is good for your emotional well being!

Training yourself to look for things to be grateful for in your self, you life and your outer world is a good remedy if you find yourself becoming anxious and depressed by negative events or by wishing for things that you don’t have.
